Garland for Linda
In the Western world, cancer affects four in ten people at some point in their lives. In Britain, for example, around 750 people are diagnosed with cancer each day. Against this background, there are few families not touched by cancer. Sir Paul McCartney's family was one such. In December 1995, a small lump on his wife Linda's breast was diagnosed as malignant. On Friday, April 17th 1998, Linda passed on from primary breast and secondary liver cancer.
